These cookbooks aim to promote multi-ethnicity, easy-to-make, wholesome, and nostalgic food using readily available ingredients, avoiding gourmet or exotic ones. Gaia Publishing also incorporates foreign language appreciation and plans for a companion app, "Gaia Cooks," to crowdsource recipes, reflecting Mick's dedication to exploring social realities, advocating for understanding, and sharing the rich tapestry of urban American life through a culinary lens.
